Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

1. Information we collect.

BizTaxMetrics is a static, calculator-first site. We do not require an account to use the calculator, and we do not collect personally identifiable information by default. The site may automatically log standard, non-identifying technical data — IP address (truncated), user agent, referrer, and the page path — for security and traffic analysis through Google Analytics.

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message content you provide. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not stored in any database, CRM, or marketing automation system. Contact form submissions are routed through a third-party form processor whose own privacy policy applies to the data they handle in transit.

2. Cookies and similar technologies.

The site uses Google Analytics (Google tag G-5ZT5HZXGZ4) to measure aggregate traffic. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on this domain to identify returning sessions and to record page views. Third-party advertising, including Google AdSense, may be displayed on this site. Advertising vendors set cookies to serve, measure, and personalize ads, and Google honors the consent signals required by its program policies.

3. How we use information.

We use the limited technical data we collect to (a) detect and prevent abuse, (b) measure aggregate usage so we can prioritize which calculators and which states to build next, and (c) diagnose production issues. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.

4. Your rights.

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA, UK, California, Virginia, and Colorado), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we collect essentially no personal data, the typical outcome of such a request is a confirmation that we hold nothing attributable to you. To exercise these rights, email -[email protected].

5. Children's information.

This site is intended for adult business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us immediately and we will delete it. This site does not contain content directed at children and does not offer any services or products to minors.

6. Data security.

The site is served over HTTPS only. The application is statically generated, so there is no application server storing user input. Any contact-form submissions are routed to a third-party processor with their own security posture; their privacy policy applies to data they hold. We do not maintain a database of user information, and there is no account system or login requirement to use the calculator.

7. Third-party services.

The only third-party service that processes data on this site is Google Analytics, which receives anonymized technical data (page views, referrer, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics operates under its own privacy policy. We do not share any personally identifiable information with Google or any other third party. Advertising networks, including Google AdSense, may be active on this site and are described in section 2.

8. Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend checking this page periodically for any updates.

9. Contact.

Questions about this policy can be sent to -[email protected]. We will respond to privacy-related inquiries within five business days.

10. California residents (CCPA / CPRA).

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, to request correction of inaccurate personal information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not sell personal information for money, we have no data broker relationships, and we have no financial incentives program. Personal information shared with advertising partners to display ads can be limited through the controls described in section 2, and exercising your rights will not result in any denial of service or change in price.

The categories of personal information we collect are set out in section 1: contact form identifiers (name and email address) and the content of your message, plus the standard technical data described above. We collect them for the business purposes described in section 3. We do not collect sensitive personal information. To submit a California request, use the contact form on the contact page; an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. We will respond within the period required by the CCPA and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

11. EEA, UK and Swiss visitors (GDPR).

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing the technical data described in section 1 is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website and understanding which calculators are actually used. Our legal basis for processing contact form submissions is your consent, given when you choose to send the message, and where applicable our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence.

You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we retain no account records and no analytics identifiers tied to your identity, the practical result of most requests is a written confirmation that we hold nothing attributable to you. Send requests through the contact page.

12. Other U.S. state privacy laws.

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of personal data, and to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data, and we do not profile you for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Requests from residents of those states are handled the same way as California requests, through the contact page.

13. Your cookie and tracking choices.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; blocking first-party analytics cookies does not limit any functionality on this site, because no calculator requires a cookie to run. Google provides a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from sharing your activity with us, and Google’s ad settings page lets you control personalized advertising across Google properties.

We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable to the analytics and advertising we run. If advertising is enabled on this site, disclosure is added to this section and to the terms of use before the first ad is served, and consent requirements will be met before any non-essential cookie is set.

14. Data retention.

Contact form messages are not written to a database by this site; they are passed to the form processor and then to our inbox. We retain correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the request and for a short record-keeping period afterward, after which it is deleted. Google Analytics keeps aggregated traffic data for a limited period and then purges the underlying records automatically. We do not keep server-side access logs beyond what our hosting provider retains for security purposes.

15. International transfers.

This site is hosted and operated in the United States, and Google Analytics processes data on Google’s infrastructure. If you visit from outside the United States, your technical data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where a transfer mechanism is required, we rely on the safeguards Google makes available for such transfers and on the fact that the data transferred is the non-identifying technical data described in section 1.

16. How to make a privacy request.

Send any privacy request through the form on the contact page, with the subject line “Privacy request.” Tell us which right you want to exercise and the jurisdiction you are in, so we can apply the correct standard. We may ask you to confirm the email address you used so we do not disclose anything to the wrong person. We answer privacy-related inquiries within five business days, and we will tell you plainly if we hold no data attributable to you.
